I've been away for awhile, busy paying the bills. I guess many of you feel the pinch too, not a good time for lots of us. Anyhow, I had a little time last weekend to scan a new book: The Story of Hassan of Bagdad, illustrated by Thomas MacKenzie, one of the lesser known Golden Age illustrator. The book was first published in 1924 by Heinemann.
Mackenzie's style is a mix between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Some of his early illustrations were similar to the great Kay Nielsen or were influenced by him. I'll post more of his works later on this year. Enjoy.
