I'd like to introduce another new illustrator to our gallery. Will H. Bradley, perhaps the best known American illustrator at the end of the 19th century. Heavily influenced by the fine Art Nouveau movement during that period, he designed posters, covers for various magazines, advertisements and books. Fringilla, published in 1895 by the Borrows Brothers is one of his masterworks,
beautifully designed, showed a new level of maturity in his works. One
can see some influences of Aubrey Beardsley, William Morris and Charles
Ricketts in his designs, but his creativity and unique vision remains
placed him among the greats. Enjoy !
