It's almost Christmas and another New Year to come. What an amazing year for me here at nocloo.com, I've scanned more than 500 illustrations this year and presented many new books, some extremely rare and if time permit, many more exciting illustrators to come.

With great pleasure, I'm bringing to you a fitting present this Christmas, illustrations from the book "The Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore and illustrated by one my my favorite illustrator: Arthur Rackham.

Walter Crane's art needs no introduction, he's the most well known Victorian children's book illustrator and his contribution to children's book is immeasurable, a short biography is available for those who wants to learn more about this great illustrator.

I've been quite busy with work lately, didn't have much time to take care of my site at all. So over Thanksgiving  long weekend, I took a bit of time out of the mundane turkey diner to bring you a new set of illustrations from a new illustrator to our gallery. The book Under the Trees, illustrated by C.L Hinton, first published in 1902 by Dood & Mead Co. The illustrations remind me of the great Burnes-Jones and certainly been influenced from the Pre-Raphaelites illustrators.

Knave of Hearts is Maxfield Parrish's most elaborate work and one of the most beautiful illustrated book of all time and quite rare for obvious reasons. First, the book is of a very high quality production, as you know Parrish's colors are quite hard to produce accurately. Second, beautifully designed and profusely illustrated with sublime illustrations. Third, it's published in large format, 14 x 11 1/2, thus the prints are suitable for framing and unfortunately, many did break the book up for the prints, which are sold in the hundreds dollar each on the market.

Arabian Nights, illustrated by Maxfield Parrish, one of America's most loved illustrator. First published in 1909 by Scribners & Sons. This is Parrish's most popular book, still in print today. It is not his best work and the quality of reproduction have lots of be desired. It is far behind the quality
