Maxfield Parrish - Knave of Hearts Knave of Hearts is Maxfield Parrish's most elaborate work and one of the most beautiful illustrated book of all time and quite rare for obvious reasons. Willy Pogany - Tanglewood Tales 1909Here is another book illustrated by Willy Pogany, one of my favorite Golden Age illustrator. Tanglewood Tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne, first published in 1909 by T. Fisher Unwin, with many lovely colors and B/W illustrations. Pogany shines in his B/W illustrations, that I prefer  over his later watercolors, and here is some prime examples of why he's figured among one of the best Golden Age Illustrators. Enjoy.
