Faces of Our Time (1971) by Yousuf Karsh is a monumental photographic anthology capturing the 20th century’s most iconic figures through the lens of one of history’s greatest portraitists. This collection showcases Karsh’s mastery of light and shadow, featuring 90+ portraits of statesmen (Churchill’s defiant glare), artists (Picasso’s piercing gaze), and cultural icons (Hemingway’s rugged introspection), each image paired with Karsh’s anecdotes and technical insights.

More than a gallery, the book is a historical document—revealing how Karsh’s psychological intuition and 8×10 view camera immortalized the soul behind the fame.

A must for photography lovers and students of human character.
