The Year’s at the Spring: An Anthology of Recent Poetry (1920), illustrated by Harry Clarke, is a captivating collection of lyrical works from prominent poets of the early 20th century, including W.B. Yeats, Rupert Brooke, Walter de la Mare, and others. Edited by Lettice D’Oyly Walters, the anthology celebrates themes of nature, love, and renewal, mirroring the fleeting beauty and emotional depth of springtime.

The book is most renowned for Harry Clarke’s exquisite Art Nouveau illustrations—his intricate, haunting black-and-white drawings and decorative borders blend Celtic motifs with surreal, almost macabre elegance. Clarke’s art elevates the text, adding layers of symbolism and visual poetry.

A treasure for lovers of both verse and illustration, this edition reflects the golden age of book design.
