Early printing. No statement of edition. Oblong orange cloth boards, light rubbing to extremities. Mostly minor wear and handling to dust jacket; which is sun-faded to a greenish tone near the spine. A NF copy in a VG DJ.

The story of a clock named Ticky who was purchased by Professor Horace Morris in Switzerland. The Professor and his four professor friends would set around talking on Thursday nights. Then one Thursday they talked about how Ticky always knew the time. Toledano B40b.

Edward St. John Gorey (February 22, 1925 – April 15, 2000) was an American writer and artist noted for his illustrated books. His characteristic pen-and-ink drawings often depict vaguely unsettling narrative scenes in Victorian and Edwardian settings.
