Tintin et le Lac aux Requins (Tintin and the Lake of Sharks) (1973) is a comic book adaptation of the 1972 animated film of the same name, based on an original screenplay by Greg (Michel Régnier) and inspired by Hergé’s Tintin universe. Illustrated by Bob de Moor, a key collaborator at Hergé’s Studios, the book follows Tintin, Captain Haddock, and Professor Calculus as they confront a criminal syndicate in Syldavia, where Calculus’ revolutionary 3D duplication device is targeted by villains operating from a treacherous, shark-filled lake.

While not part of Hergé’s official 24-album series, the book retains the visual style of the comics, though the plot is more action-driven and less nuanced than classic Tintin adventures. It’s a fun, if lighter, addition for completists.
