Joan Miro – Star Scene Lithograph

$1,699.00

  • Artist: Joan Miro
  • Media: Lithograph
  • Size: 20 3/4" x 13"
  • Edition: N/A, ca 1969

Original lithograph signed in stone by Joan Miro titled “Star Scene”, probably done by the famous printer Mourlot in Paris. The visible part measures approx. 20 3/4″ x 13″ and with the frame measures 24 1/4″ x 18 1/2″, I didn’t remove it from the frame to measure the sheet, so it’s a bit larger than the visible part.  Comes with a certification of authenticity  (COA)  by “Societe de Verification de la Nouvelle Gravure International of New York and Paris” with a blind stamp seal glued on the back of the frame. The COA has a partial tear, but complete.

The colors are bright and beautiful in perfect condition. In a museum quality frame.

PS: Sorry for the glare in the picture. I can take more detailed pictures upon request.

Joan Miro: One of the most creative artists of the twentieth century, Joan Miro is as highly regarded for his lithographic art as for his paintings and sculpture. After the conclusion of World War One, Joan Miro traveled to Paris where he first was influenced by Cubism. Yet his infatuation with Cubism was short lived and Miro quickly became a leading exponent of both Dadaism and the Surrealist movement.
